PJC Races
PJC run six open events a year all have there own uniques features.
The race directors are shown in the right hand panel together with links to each events page.
The
Plod has become a firm favourite and attracts a large number of repeat
entrants each year.
The type of race you will encounter depends on the February weather, in
recent years runners have experienced sun, rain, snow and mist but the
one constant is the "undulations".
The
Summer Cross Country is run on the last Wednesday in June around the trails of
Queen Elizabeth Country Park.
The
Ladies 5 is run round the lanes of Purbrook, starting and finishing on
Purbrook Heath, taking in the rolling countryside on a Sunday morning in
June.
The
Standsted Park Slug and Slug are our newest races and start at
Stansted Park House and predominately take you across the trails and
footpaths around the estate.
October
sees the running of the Fullers Denmead 10k. This popular race is often
used by runners as an opportunity for a final tune up before the Great
South Run.
Just
to help clear the post Christmas lethargy the Joggers stage the unique
Pub 2 Pub event.
