Meon Valley Plod - 9th Best Race in Country
'The Meon Valley Plod' has achieved 9th place in the Runners World Readers' TOP 50 races of 2009!
http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/event-editorial/readers-top-50-races-2009-25-49-votes/4824.html
This is a great tribute to the race organisers (Patsie and Ray Ruzewicz) and ALL the volunteers from the club (and their friends and families!) who have made this achievement possible.
The race (and I quote an entrant for this year) is 'Legendary' and I sincerely hope that all of you who have entered in 2010 enjoy the day! Let's just hope for good weather again.
If you haven't already registered for The Plod on 28th February, hurry... we already have approaching 300 entries!

Nik Bryan's Tuesday Group
With quite a few people wanting to train for various races of all distances over the next 3/4 months, and after discussion, most of my group who I have managed to speak to were 'up' for joining Chris Brier and his group on a Tuesday doing his Threshold training as featured on his marathon schedule for this period only.
Thursday training will remain as normal with Nik leading.
Tuesday training will return to normal after Spring Marathon season.

If you wish to use another runners number please be aware of the following or else one or both of you could be banned.
HRRL Races: Please pass any spare numbers to Alan,
Martin or Eileen and they will ensure that the numbers are transferred
correctly.
If this process is not followed PJC could be ejected from HRRL.
Other Races: Please contact the race organisers and gain their approval before exchanging numbers.
Meeting Place
Those of you that run on Tuesday and Thursday evening from the
Mountbatten Centre will be aware that we have been without a meeting room
for the last few weeks and have been finding car parking somewhat
challenging due to the on going building work.
Starting from Tuesday 21st April we will start meeting at the Gymnastics
Centre which is round the back of the Mountbatten Centre. We've been
promised a meeting room and there should also be more car parking around the
back of the Centre.
Saturday training with Dave and Chris will continue to meet at the front of
the Mountbatten Centre.
Dave Blofield's Group
Whilst Dave is out injured Nik Bryan will be leading the Group on Tuesday and Thursday.
